1. Organiser

The competition is run by The Meridian (themeridian50.com). Entry is free and no purchase is necessary.

2. Competition period

The competition opens on 25 October 2026 and closes at 23:59:59 West Africa Time (WAT, UTC+1) on Wednesday 16 December 2026. The official standings are the Total score tab of the official leaderboard at https://silk.themeridian50.com/leaderboard/ as it stands at the closing time. Progress posted after the closing time does not count.

3. How to enter

  1. Play SILK at silk.themeridian50.com.
  2. In Street mode, open Ranks and choose Join with a display name.
  3. Your progress then posts automatically once per in-game day. You can only be ranked if your entry appears on the public leaderboard.

4. How winners are decided

Positions are decided by Total score: reputation × 10 + skill × 2 + network × 2 + quests completed × 100 + matters won × 50. Scores are calculated by the leaderboard server, not by the game in your browser. If two entries have the same score, the entry that last updated its score earlier ranks higher, which is how the leaderboard already orders tied entries. The top three eligible entries after verification win. If an entry is disqualified or the prize is not claimed, the next eligible entry moves up.

5. Prizes

A combined prize pool of ₦1,000,000 is shared by the first, second and third placed eligible players. The split between the three places will be published on this page before the competition closes. Prizes are paid in naira by bank transfer to an account in the winner’s own name. Prizes cannot be exchanged or transferred.

6. Eligibility

  • Open to individuals aged 18 or over.
  • One entry per person. If one person holds several entries, only the highest counts and the others may be removed.
  • Staff of The Meridian and their immediate families are not eligible.

7. Fair play

The leaderboard recalculates every score on the server, rejects values that are impossible for the number of in-game days played, rejects progress that goes backwards or jumps too far at once, and limits how often an entry can be updated. Because SILK runs in your browser, no system can make a browser game fully tamper-proof. We will review the top entries before announcing winners and may disqualify any entry that shows implausible progress, automated play, editing of game data or any other manipulation. Our decision on eligibility is final.

8. Verifying and contacting winners

The leaderboard does not collect email addresses, so winners must claim. On 17 December 2026 we will publish the provisional top three display names on this page and on The Meridian’s social channels. A winner claims by emailing am@themeridian50.com within seven days with their display name. To confirm ownership we will ask the claimant to show the entry in the game’s Ranks panel on the device they played on, during a short video call, and we will check it against the leaderboard’s server record. We will then ask for the name on the receiving bank account and confirm the claimant is 18 or over.

9. Privacy

The leaderboard stores your chosen display name, your game statistics, the dates of your updates and a one-way hash of your IP address, which is used only to limit abuse. Your display name and statistics are public. Your game save stays in your own browser. If you claim a prize, we use the details you send only to verify your entry and pay the prize, and we delete them once payment is complete, except where we must keep records by law. Display names of winners will be published.

10. General

We may correct obvious errors, and we may suspend or extend the competition if a technical fault or abuse prevents it from running fairly; any change will be posted on this page with its date. SILK’s characters, firms and cases are fictional and nothing in the game is legal advice.
