What the record shows

  • Exits, not capital raises. Airtel Money, MNT-Halan and Quickmart were all announced within nine days, and all three are fully secondary: existing owners sell and the companies receive nothing.
  • Nigeria by volume, Dangote by value. Nigeria accounts for four of the nine entries, and the Dangote refinery IPO for about two-thirds of disclosed value.
  • Counsel disclosure is thin. Four of nine entries have no named legal adviser yet. Meridian updates the record when prospectuses or firms confirm mandates.
